I am greatly looking forward to conducting the excellent chamber choir, the Choir of the 21st Century (who do not restrict themselves to 21st century repertoire, but were founded in the year 2000!) in a programme of glorious 15th to 17th Century repertoire, including some of Victoria’s Tenebrae Responsories, Praetorius’ eight-part Magnificat, as well as motets by Palestrina and Gesualdo, and lesser known works by Josquin and Schütz. The concert is on Saturday, 23rd September at 7:30pm, in the attractive setting of Hampstead Parish Church.
