I have felt like a jet-setter in the past weeks, with two foreign choir tours. Firstly, in Ralph Allwood’s absence, I directed the wonderful Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir on their tour of Malta, which included singing amidst extraordinary architecture: in St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, St George’s Basilica, Gozo, and Mdina Cathedral. I enjoyed accompanying the choir when Ralph arrived for the two final performances. A week later I was in Prague with the Pembridge Hall School Chamber Choir, where the girls sang to large and highly enthusiastic audiences.
