Max is delighted to announce that he will be directing the newly-formed Wimbledon Youth Choir. Rehearsals are at St Mary’s Church, Wimbledon (SW19 7BP) on Sundays, 4-5:15pm, and begin on 20th September. WYC is for keen 14-25 year old singers who would like to be part of an excellent SATB choir, singing a varied repertoire. This year they will take part in workshops on Vivaldi Gloria, whilst the acclaimed Ken Burton is doing a masterclass on Gospel Music. WYC will also be singing at evensong services in St Mary’s, including Finzi’s stunning Lo, the Full Final Sacrifice, as well as St Paul’s and Chichester Cathedrals, and joining West Barnes Singers for a performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah in Wimbledon in May 2016. www.wimbledonyouthchoir.com for more info.
