After completing a triathlon at Leeds Castle, Kent, in the morning and raising £5k with a friend for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, inspired by Alex Stobbs, I directed the West Barnes Singers in their summer concert, rising to the challenge of Gospel and Spiritual music (including Tippett’s Five Spirituals from A Child of Our Time) splendidly, and putting on an excellent show to a packed Wimbledon church.
